CANCELLATION POLICY FOR HOTEL RESERVATION
A reservation constitutes a contract between themselves and Historic House Hotels. Any reservation/s cancelled within 48 hours of the arrival date (or within 14 days for bookings of five rooms or more, or for overseas booking) is liable to be charged for unless we are able to re-let the accommodation to another guest.
FOR SPA RESERVATIONS
A reservation for treatments made directly with the Spa constitutes a contract between clients and Historic House Hotels. A 50% charge will be incurred for any treatment cancelled less than 24 hours prior to appointment, or if there is non-attendance at the time of the reserved treatment. If treatment reservations are made directly with the Spa independent of bedroom reservations, cancellations should be through the Spa Reception.
CHILD POLICY
We welcome children over the age of six years at our Historic House Hotels, and eight years in the Spa at set swimming times. Children of residents, between the ages of 8 and 16, may use our Spas between the hours of 10am to 11am, and 4pm to 5pm when accompanied by an adult.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENT
American Express, Mastercard, Visa and Delta credit/debit cards are accepted. We do not accept Diners Club.
DRESS CODE POLICY
Smart please - whilst many gentlemen choose to wear a jacket and tie in the Dining Room in the evening, it is not obligatory. Trainers, t-shirts, tracksuits, shorts etc are NOT acceptable.
SMOKING POLICY
In line with National Legislation, our hotels are non-smoking, including all public rooms, bedrooms and suites. A deep cleaning charge of £100 per day will be charged if evidence of smoking is detected in your bedroom.
PET POLICY
Dogs are welcomed by prior arrangement in some hotel suites except in the bedrooms, two small dogs or one larger dog, and may be walked in the park and woods, but not please in the garden. Damage to rooms or injury to livestock will be charged for. We particularly ask that dogs should not be allowed onto the beds, sofas and armchairs. Only guide dogs are welcomed in the hotel main buildings.
MOBILE PHONES & LAPTOPS
In deference to the wishes of the majority of our guests, the use of mobile telephones and laptop computers is not permitted in public rooms.
VALUABLES AND KEYS
The Hotel can only accept responsibility for Valuables deposited with the Manager for safe keeping in one of the hotel’s safes. Please remember to leave room keys at Reception, especially when leaving the Hotel. The bedroom doors are not all self-locking.

Cars may be parked on our guests behalf when requested without responsibility or liability to the hotel.
